another busy weekend...what's new? we have been going and going without stopping for a while now and it's getting old...yeah right! ;- ) i totally enjoyed this past weekend and i think next weekend will be the same. i got some "one on one" time with mom friday night. we talked and talked and talked for about 3 hours! we called a couple of my aunts in mexico while we watched the mexico game...memories. liz graduated from college with her b.a. in a private ceremony with about 20 students on saturday (it had something to do with chicano studies) anyway it was short and sweet no matter how hot it was and how burnt we all got. i was moved by all the students speeches and i don't think i was the only one. i think we all had tears in our eyes. i was happy that our family was there even my uncle and his family from santa maria. i had forgotten how fun it is to hang out with the whole family...sigh. later that afternoon we all had celebrated liz with food, drinks, snacks, food and more drinks until about 10:00. everyone was pretty tipsy (even mom) so i t and i ended up playing hosts which we were happy to do. we had so much fun...lots of laughs and plenty of tears of sadness for grandma... liz got some real neat gifts. i am so glad she liked the coach purse we got her. she deserves that and more! i was dreading getting up on sunday but it was not that bad since i kept very hydrated on saturday. we were all together again @ mom's house for mother's day and had a blast. we gossiped more and got alot of things out in the open. i believe mom has turned a new leaf and is ready to let it all out without holding back anymore. i think if this is true, it's just what the dr. ordered. i have always believed that it's better not to hold things in because they will eat you up alive. i am dealing with some things that i would like to resolve but perhaps some thing's are better left unresolved...they might not have been meant to be...who knows?
