we are back from vacation. san diego was so much fun even though it was sticky, hot and humid. i thought the weather would be cooler but it was not. (note to self, need to buy cooler summer clothing). we ended up trying out the trolley and that a neat experience. we winged it and it turned out fine. we only rode it on saturday, the other days we just drove. the game on saturday night was awesome. since we rode the trolley we had to fight the crowd to hitch a ride back but it turned out ok. we were so tired since we did so much that day plus the heat was just awful and it tired us out quickly. we spent ample time at the pool and just laying around reading. on sunday we spent several hours at balboa park and at checked out the natural history museum which was a total dud and more for kids. the ocean movie was pretty interesting but not worth it. after the museum we waited went to have lunch at the bay but had to wait for parking since the crowds were huge everywhere we went. we had an awesome lunch with a great ocean view and since they had a patio with a bar we hung out there for several hours having some margaritas. we were so lit and tired that we went back and took a nice nap. dinner at old town was awful but who cares, we're on vacation! monday after some morning r & r we walked around the mission valley fashion center which was right behind the hotel, had lunch at cpk and t scored on some birkenstock hippie sandles. what a tree hugger! later on we hung out at seaport village had a killer dinner at the fish house again since we liked it so much the day before and walked around for several hours and looked at all the nice boats and yachts. on tuesday we watched the coronado island 4th of july parade after searching a long time for parking. we lucked out! we left san diego a little after 12:30, stopped at in an out for some burgers and were so happy that we did not run into any traffic. after unloading and organizing at home we hung out with the guys and watched the fireworks with them. james made another one of his creations which was incredible. san diego is always nice, we had lots of fun and can't wait to go back.
