well summer has not officially started but it sure does feel like it. t and i have been taking advantage of the cool evenings and have been grilling more. last night i even made dessert on the grill. we grilled peaches and tossed them with a brandy, lemon and sugar sauce. once they were done hanging out in the sauce i added a splash of wine and topped them off with some marscapone cheese (which had vanilla and honey). the last time i tried to make a recipe similar to this my bro's and i didn' like it. i remember we couldn't turn the grill on either...so funny! t was gone because he had some damage at work to tend to so he did not get to try it.

after breakfast this morning we went to lowes to pick up some flowers. it was starting to get really hot but we didn't care because we wanted to complete the chores we knew had to get done. t replaced some accent lights in the front flower bed while i planted a couple flowers and chatted with a neighbor passing by. he commented how gorgeous our flower are. it's nice to have other people enjoy our hard work. after a while i started to get hungry so i made a bean dip with white beans, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, parsley, s/p and grilled some pita bread. it was so yummy! after we were done enjoying our snack we replaced the dirt in the flower bed around our tree near the street. that was such a hassle...lots of roots....eek! so we had to go back and get more dirt and since t liked a pair of confy wicker chairs with ottomons (which we had tried out) for the patio we decided to get them. and what a great choice we made because they are so so comfy!!! i think my new blogging spot will have to be the patio instead of the a/c living room. :) so happy father's day to you, t!!! i hope you will enjoy your chairs because i have already taken advantage of them. and now back to enjoying my tropical sorbet.
